Can home charging be reimbursed?

Yes, in many business contexts. The reimbursement needs a clean kWh record — how much, when, and where relevant, to whom.

Every Veton® charger logs each session locally. Timestamps, kWh from the MID-certified meter, duration, meter readings, and the RFID tag. The Veton® app exports the log to CSV for an employer, bookkeeper or fleet manager. No cloud account required. The data lives on the installation.

What is needed for paid or semi-public charging?

Paid or semi-public charging needs a platform. User authentication, tariffs, invoicing, reporting. Often a public roaming network. Veton® chargers are OCPP-open. Connect them to the operator of your choice. There is no Veton-only cloud.

The EV charging platforms page lists the platforms used in real Veton® projects — fleet, hospitality, residential and business. It covers mobility service providers, eMSPs and CPO software stacks. Choose the platform before installation. That fixes the contract for connectivity, RFID provisioning and reporting.

Local session tracking versus a cloud platform — when do I need which?

Local session tracking suffices for most users. The Veton® mobile app shows it. Export to CSV. That covers households, fixed-user businesses, and projects wanting auditable kWh data — no monthly platform fee.

An OCPP cloud platform fits payment and dynamic tariffs. It also covers public roaming, third-party access, multi-site reporting and operator-grade SLAs. The Veton® charger keeps its local session log alongside whatever the cloud sees.

Does billing influence charger choice?

Yes. For billing, reimbursement or fleet reporting, two questions matter. Is the energy meter MID-certified? Can the charger talk to the OCPP platform of your choice? Both are standard on Veton®. Worth verifying against any alternative product.
